About the work
Angels was created for Rambert’s Evening of New Choreography and was later selected for Resolution Festival at The Place in London.
The work started from Yonderboi’s Before You Snap and its questions around purpose: why we build our lives, raise families, work, fight, repeat the same routines — and what, ultimately, any of it is for.
In a world often driven by individual needs, what happens when we stop for a moment and ask whether we are meant to do something better?
Angels played with the contrast between these larger existential questions and the ordinary, sometimes absurd activities that fill everyday life.
